How To Unlock All Followers In Mad Island – The last guide was getting SHINO as your follower, this new guide will help you unlock all the followers. I did not include characters that are in DLC.
How To Unlock All Followers In Mad Island
At the beginning of the game you are at the bottom of the island on the beach (blue flag).
This is the introductory area and will be the easier part of the game.As you level up, mobs will level up and deal more DMG and have more HP.
You will have to fight several bosses to progress through the game.
Key items are needed to progress in the game and upgrade your base.
Books allow you to create new workbenches, and gems combine to be used to open doors to late games.
You can do green mist actions as either of the two main characters.
- Pink Mist = Yona/Fem MC
- Blue Mist = Male/Male MC
Reika and Keigo
In order to start the encounter with Reika, Keigo and Takumi, you have to get past the old man by going around, fighting him or even using the flag jump.
From the starting beach you can go east and cross the bridge and go until you see a tent.
Defeat Old Man to get the Man Bench Recipe.
Once you get past the Old Man, you can go north of his tent to trigger Reika and Keigo’s encounter.
Both options will not affect the outcome of the quest line, but will determine which scene you want to see.
Once it’s over you can head into the swamp and hug the right side until you get to the next event.
The choices in this scene don’t really matter either, but it does determine what kind of scene you want to see.
Defeat Takumi in combat and he runs north.
Keigo and Reika will argue and here you can choose to side with Keigo or Reika.
If you side with Keigo, you will break their relationship. This allows the male MC to romance Reika.
If you increase your affinity with Reica, you can trigger another series of events where you can potentially kill Keigo.
If you side with Reika, they will be reconciled and another event can be triggered south of their camp.
In this new event, you can allow them to get back together or not (interruption will lead back to the male MC quest).
BONUS
To recruit Takumi, you must complete his quest.
North of where you fought him, you can come across his private harem.
You will have to repeat his boss fight.
Both options do the same thing here, skipping some lines of dialogue.
Other options are Heed his wish, which will give you Yona’s death screen.
Killing just kills him. If you tie him up, you’ll have to give him 10x food (tested: grill and steak set).
If it survives successfully, you will receive a transmitter. Note: this is not important in the current patch.
Shino
Prerequisite: Steak Set (Food) | 1x raw beef, 1x onion, 1x potato, 1x berry
Shino’s camp is located in the northeast of the map in a small entrance on the lower knoll, just below where the grass turns blue.
This is where your first encounter with Shino begins.
After the dialogue, it will then move to the northern hill, where you have to go round and round again (the event is visible on the map).
After this scene, you have to return to her camp at night to start the third action where you can decide what to do with her.
The first option ends the dialog, the second insults her and gives you the option to leave (makes her angry and allows you to press R on her) or kill her (allows you to dissect her body) and the third opens up two options where apologizing makes Shino a friend (demanding an apology leads to back to the second option).
Cassie
The Lab Questline begins with Yona meeting an old man, Dr. Edema.
After his dialogue, you have to fight 3 enemies (2 natives, 1 large native) at the entrance.
After the fight, you can proceed to enter the Laboratory, where you have Cassie’s battle body.
After this fight you can proceed to the lab where there are a lot of high level androids.
You can continue running to the top right (watch out for the lasers) which leads to a green door where you’ll meet Cassie.
She will ask you to wire her brain and find her body which is located north of her pod.
After connecting all of her body parts together, you have Cassie as a follower.
You can proceed to the Lab quest where you have to fight Dalman. This unlocks the amputation machine or whatever I don’t have that shi.
After defeating him, you’ll find that a number of quests are WIP.
Giant (or Giantess)
Prerequisite: Three gems from three bosses who dropped it | Garbage of Chaos
Once you unlock the gate, you should be able to head into the Chaos Wastes.
All the mobs are terminal and hard, but you can just run past them to that point on the map
She’s a tough boss, but with the right kiting or some other way to help you out, you should be able to defeat her.
After defeating her, you get 3 options.
Letting her make her friendly but you won’t be able to break lol.
Kill will kill her. In order to seduce, you have to wait ~20 seconds for the cutscene that happens when you defeat her.
The best follower in the game.
Sally (and Takumi?)
Prerequisite: Access to the Chaos Wastes
You must trigger this event in the Chaos Wastes to unlock the Bondage Cave where Sally is located.
Inside the Bondage Cave, you can head north until you reach the center, which has lighter ground.
Go right until you reach the wall, from there go through the lower prison door to enter Sally’s room.
From there you start a fight with Sally where you have to defeat her.
Once you defeat her, you have two options.
Befriend her while punishing her will give you two more options, kill her or tie her up in a cave.
IF TAKUMI IS ALIVE + QUEST COMPLETED
Mermaid
Prerequisite: craft a boat, a fishing rod, 1 worm, and a bra
It is located at the bottom right of the map, specifically southeast of the river channel.
Once you get to her place, dive for the Rainbow Coral and craft the Rainbow Shell Bra.
After you encounter the mermaid, go to the island where you can hunt for her bra.
You have to wait until you get the little fishing minigame and then you can get her scene.
In order to become her friend, you have to give her a rainbow shell bra. Note: If you don’t give her a rainbow shell, she will disappear.
