Legion TD 2 Champion Tier List & Guide – Champion is one of the main brains you can choose at the beginning of the game.

Legion TD 2 Champion Tier List & Guide

Instead of starting with income, you can upgrade one unit with +9% attack speed and damage reduction.

Use Champion early

This allows you to get value immediately. The longer you use Champion, the worse it gets.

This is the most important tip. If you don’t feel like reading the rest of the guide, you can stop here.

Play more understated than you normally would

Champion value is not reflected in fighter value.

As a simple rule of thumb, a champion is worth 10% of a unit’s total value.

For example, if you use it on a Gateguard (which costs 100 gold), you have 10 “hidden” values. When you upgrade to Harbinger (which has a total cost of 290 gold), you have a “hidden” value of ~30.

It costs more than that if you’re using Champion optimally, but 10% is a simple rule of thumb.

Upgrade your champion soon

There is no rule for how soon, but you should prioritize updating earlier than you normally would.

Give your champion lots of buffs

Auras, healers, steeds, chieftains and legion spells. The more the better.

If your champion is a DPS unit, support it with more tanks than usual.

Before we dive into the tier list, let’s talk generally about what units the Champion is strong on so you have a framework to think about rather than memorizing a tier list.

The champion is strong against units that:

Can be opened with wave 1 (or obtained with wave 2 or 3 through other means like Grarl and Pirate Skeleton)

They are relatively expensive (either the base unit or one of the upgrades)

Can be upgraded earlier

They either have no abilities or have abilities that change with attack speed

Comment:
There is no single best or must-have unit for a champion.

The best champion objective depends on your other units and legion magic.

This list of levels assumes an average case. For example, Green Devil is a C on its own.

Titan is a B, Lost Chieftain is an A, and Lost Chieftain, Whitemane, Ocean Templar, and Hero are S+, so the average is A.

Tier 6 units (Eggsack, Holy Avenger, etc.) assume you rush them on wave 2 or 3 with Grarl or Pirate Skeleton.

Some Champion units are optimally played unconventionally (for example Treant / Wileshroom upgrade to Tree of Knowledge / Canopy on wave 2).

The order in each level does not matter.
