Fields of Mistria Miscellaneous Guide – A patchwork collection of things I’ve missed/not explained that I’ve discovered that might help.

Chicken Statue

Fields of Mistria Miscellaneous Guide

On the same screen as Hayden’s farm, to the left and down from his farm (just below the upward slope that takes you to the museum grounds) is a statue of a chicken with a sacrificial bowl.

It suggests that there are shiny beads in it, but doesn’t specify what it is or how to get them.

To make offerings, you need to unlock the Currency of Care farming skill from the dragon statue.

This will cause the animals that eat the crops to drop some beads. They can be fed directly by you or eaten by themselves if there are fully grown crops left in the ground and they are outgrazing.

You can give them one crop per day and they each give 2 beads per crop.

You can then offer the beads to the statue in groups of 10 or 100. 10 has given different dishes so far. I haven’t gotten to 100 yet!

I assume these offerings are to Henrietta’s ancestors, so I recommend devoting yourself to their body and soul.

Crop safety

Your crop is in danger!!

It turns out that your animals can and will eat fully grown crops that are left in the ground outside (basically those that are ready to harvest but haven’t been harvested yet). Fences don’t stop chickens! (Not tested on other animals)

If you have the Currency of Care skill, they will give you shiny beads to give to the chicken statue after it eats your crop. But if you don’t want to miss out on rare crops, make sure you either leave them at home or at least harvest them before letting them out.

Propaganda against rock slime

In this house, we hate fighting in farming sims and we hate rock slimes even more!

“Stone slimes” as I call them are round creatures in the mines that shoot rocks or ore at you. They don’t seem to care about your sword power, they are very tough and only take 1 damage from most hits (gross). But it does more than 1 damage per hit!

There are quite a few, but it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to take them out.

Just throw rocks at them. Swing your sword with good timing and it will deal much more damage.

Behind the water seal it’s a bit more challenging as one sends out two, one right after the other, and the first stone when hit back seems to break the second. So you know, good luck.

Clay, sod, and peat

These three resources have eluded me for a while because they are needed for recipe creation in the beginning. Unsurprisingly, you get them out of the country. Specifically, the same excavations that produce artifacts.

If you have the skill that makes biome-specific materials occasionally drop from rocks in the mines you can get peat, clay, and sod there, too, at least from the upper floors.

Thanks for reading our post on Fields of Mistria Miscellaneous Guide, make sure always to drop comments, and don’t also forget that suggestions are allowed.
