Find VO files
Voice lines can be found at X:/Program Files (x86)/SteamLibrary/Steamapps/common/ReadyorNot/ReadyorNot/Content/VO/SWATJudge
Or do this:1. Right-click your game and click Properties
2. Click Installed Files
3. Click Browse
4. Go to ReadyorNot -> Content -> VO -> SWATJudge
All voice lines are in SWATJudge (NOT SWATJudgeLegacy)!
Understanding VO files
The very first ones you are likely to be interested in are:
[CALL]YellAtCivilian_0
[CALL]YellAtSuspect_0
YellAtCivilian is what happens by default when you press F (shout match) or do it while aiming at a civilian.
YellAtSuspect ONLY happens when you point at a suspect and press F.
Others are self-explanatory, such as:
[CALL]PrefixTOC_0 (when your character starts a TOC sentence; “TOC…” (blah blah blah)
[CALL]SCFallIn_0 (tell your team to fall in)
[CALL]ArrestFemale_0 (commands your team to arrest this female)
[CALL]ArrestingSuspect_0 (Said when arresting a suspect)
[CALL]SCC2ClearFlashbang_0 (commands your team to plant C2 and clear with flashbang)
[CALL]SCReport_0 (commands your team to report something)
etc. etc.
***IMPORTANT:***
Many voice lines, especially those where you give commands or report something, have two different versions:
[CALL]SCDeployMirrorgun_1
[CALL]SCDeployMirrorgunS_1
In the “normal” version, you tell your team to mirror the door, and the judge says it at normal volume.
In the “S” or “suspect” version, the judge kind of whispers out loud for secret purposes instead of saying it out loud.
In a case like this, you will required to record both. Otherwise, your character will be silent half the time when giving the “mirror door” command because you never know if the game will decide whether there’s a suspect nearby or not.
Record!
After recording/trimming/etc. in Audacity, click File -> Export Audio
Make sure the file names match all the lines you want to replace:
When uploading, name the files numerically and upload as many/as few as you want, for example:
[CALL]YellAtCivilian_0
[CALL]YellAtCivilian_1
[CALL]YellAtCivilian_2
You DO NOT have to record the same number of lines as in the original folder. It can be more or less as you wish; the game goes through them automatically (in random order).
You do not have to log all lines. If the line is not recorded and appears in-game, your character will remain silent (but NPCs will react as if you said it)
****EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:****
**EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:**
Be sure to save this file in a .ogg format in the folder.
Done!
When you’re done, delete all* voice lines in Steamapps/common/ReadyorNot/ReadyorNot/VO/SWATJudge (or back them up somewhere), insert your own, and enjoy!
Remember: You do NOT have to record all voice lines!
– Load as many/as few as you want as the game will automatically cycle through them randomly.
– Any unrecorded voice lines, your character will remain mute, but NPCs will still respond appropriately.
– Through magic technology, your lines will automatically echo in rooms or be muffled by masks like a normal judge’s voice.
In the future, you can add or record new lines at any time using the above procedure.
To revert the changes, simply delete everything in the /VO/SWATJudge folder and paste the original lines back.
This still works with the Home Invasion update, but of course, the lip sync won’t match it; you can’t fix that.
Game updates may reset your voice lines back to the default judges; if this happens, delete all referee lines again as above and re-add your recorded lines.
* Of course you don’t have to delete everything; you can combine if you want and keep some rows but delete others. As long as they are all .ogg the game will have no problem using them.
