Cargo Storage Tricks

The game doesn’t offer any cargo straps to tie down your cargo in the cab, but we have a solution!

If you open containers after putting them on the shelf they wedge themselves into the place and don’t move when you turn off the Gravity Compensator.

If you angle cardboard boxes just right you can hold in some other cargo. (the previous example with gas cans didn’t hold the gas cans in place)
Airlock

Airlock works perfectly as a closet for storing stuff while you travel.

Don’t worry about accidentally ejecting it, the airlock will be obstructed by anything you aren’t holding when you try to open to space.

Saving Power

I keep around old batteries and swap to them when i’m idling waiting for a Just-In-Time job to allow me to delivery, so I squeeze out every last bit of juice from them. Then I store them until I enter a sector with a high mark-up on them and sell them off.

Core Power / Maglock Controls will still operate with just a single battery.

I drive around with this turned off and as much stuff as I can fit into containers and in my airlock.

• This is a power hog, I personally just box all my cargo items and turn it off.
• To prevent your boxes from flying all over you can put everything in the airlock while driving.

Maglock Controls
I unhitch all the time while waiting for just-in-time delivery windows.

• If you aren’t moving you can unhitch your trailer to save on Maglock Battery Power (zero power usage).

Oxygen Generator

• Bad filters increase power usage and lower oxygen output.

Suit Power

• Only consumes power when recharging the suit or (maybe, still testing) while the suit is refilling with oxygen.

Lights (Exterior/Interior)
I personally turn off all the lights and drive around in the dark.

• These all use Core Power, so you can turn them off when not needed.
