How To Optimize Your Farming Experience In Rusty’s Retirement – The guide you are about to read will boost your farming experience because it features some of my best strategies and logical actions I take to make the best farm in this game.
How To Optimize Your Farming Experience In Rusty’s Retirement
Feel free to adapt it to your playing style.
Initial settings:
Start by creating some crop fields and fill them with wheat. The first building to be built
HAIKU’S HOUSE: Haiku helps with irrigation, harvesting, and construction.
This speeds up Rusty’s farming efficiency and other tasks.
Second building under construction
ECHO WORKSHOP: Upgrade robots to increase efficiency.
Although expensive and time-consuming, it is essential for automation.
Now that Echo’s Workshop has been created, it’s time to optimize your bots.
Build the Biofuel Bot first, then the Harvest Bot, and finally the Water Bot.
Then start maximizing the capacity of your biofuel robot.
Biofuel can be converted into cash and produced faster than waste coins.
The next step is to improve your Harvest Bot capacity
This will increase the production of biofuels.
Immediately you find out that your Harvest Bot capacity is fully optimized, shift your attention towards maximizing your Water Bot Capacity.
This will also increase your biofuel production.
Finally, increase the speed of your robots. Start with the biofuel robot, followed by the harvest bot, and finally the water bot.
Third building under construction
SPLUNK’S HOUSE: Automates seed planting, and reduces micromanagement.
This takes even more time than Echo’s Workshop and is the most expensive building.
The reason this building is important is because it automates the planting of seeds, which is the only thing you need to do. After all, nothing else does.
Once set up, you’ll only have to manage this single task, allowing you to play a more idle game without excessive micromanagement.
Fourth building under construction
SLATE’S BARN: Enables fossil mining for resources and livestock creation.
After completing it, build the animal feeder as soon as possible.
Once built, the Slate will collect fossils, once you have enough, create a cow or pig and add them until your feeder is full.
Animals will eat, then walk and poop.
Now first create a Feeder Bot to feed the animals.
Then create a garbage bot to collect their poop.
Then create Fertilizer Bots to fertilize the soil with their waste.
Then create a composting device to hold the poop.
Then start upgrading the bots. Start with Capacity and then Speed.
It’s best to max the fertilizer bot first, then the waste bot, and finally the feeder bot.
Because the waste from the fertilizer robot will speed up how fast your crops will grow.
The fifth building under construction
FORBIC’S HOUSE: Collect biofuels from bulb hives.
Once erected plant a couple of blueberry bushes.
You will need a certain amount to unlock Raspberry bushes and so on.
You will also need to build a Bulb Hive, Bulbs collect berries from bushes which are then converted into biofuel.
I would also build a butterfly cage because butterflies help speed up the collection process.
You’ll also want to build a Berry Bot and mine it again, starting with capacity and then speed.
You also want to make sure the Berry Bot is near a storage unit so if you don’t have one built near the Berry Bot it can store the berries it picks up.
The sixth building under construction
SONNET’S SHOP: Buy decorations to beautify your farm.
No resource contribution, purely aesthetic. This is purely for decoration purposes and doesn’t contribute to anything resource-wise other than filling empty plot spaces.
The seventh and final building to be built
SHEPHERD: Monitor farm stats.
Land expansion
PRO TIP:
Gradually expand the plots, saving the nearest plots on both sides and working outwards.
Since item movement is limited to entire plots, additional plots on either side allow for easier reordering of objects.
