Saki and the Crucible of Debauchery Quick Guide – How to stop progress and heal after a battle, menu settings you want to adjust at the start, etc.
Saki and the Crucible of Debauchery Quick Guide
I want to stop after the save/heal fight.
Although this game is made with RPG Maker MV, it follows conventional controls.
The game is set up so that the main character, Saki, will continue to explore continuously after each fight, even if you choose manual. However, this isn’t very useful in the early game when you want to heal/save between fights.
When the battle is over show you how much XP and gold you’ve earned:
On PC: close the notification by pressing X instead of Z repeatedly.
On the deck/controller: Press the B button
This will stop the progression so you can manually select the heal from the popup window.
Note that there is no penalty for manual healing between fights.
Healing fully restores your HP & WP (+ removes common conditions on lower difficulties), allowing Saki to continuously interact with H until she only has 1 Willpower (WP) left. 0 WP =
Defeat.
Defeat only translates into some area progression penalty… giving you more chances to level up.
Default settings you may want to change to enable more H
If you want to see more H actions, here are 2 items you may want to turn off.
Once you have control of Saki, go to Menu > Items and you’ll see a variety of settings.
Feel free to explore the different options, but only 2 of them you want to change.
1) Setting the automatic end of the battle
By default, once an enemy ties Saki and H a few times, it ends.
By turning this off, the enemy can keep ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ until you break free/use up your Willpower (WP).
Why would I want to do this?
Early on you want to have a chance to kill the enemy instead of letting them run for H.
Later, you can get an item called the Seed-Sucking Chalice…
2) Skip-beat scenes
It’s not as easy to lose on the easier difficulties, so you might want to change this one as well.
Summon item
The way to get anything (items, weapons, armor) in this game is through Summon Item. Save-scum is recommended. Note that the items you can get are different at each stage.
Notable Items:
Lust Suppression Drop (1-VI): the most important item if you go the H route, as it prevents the H attack from building up too quickly and burning through your WP.
Semon-sucking Chalice: Creampie = Free XP
Fire Soul Gem: Gives you more WP so you can use H attack time to heal/skill cooldown.
Dual Ripping Plates (or smaller variants): a nice stat-boosting item for a boss fight.
